Fresh off the recent success of The Bayou Southern Kitchen & Bar in Bethlehem, business partners Cristian Duarte and Morris Taylor open another highly anticipated City Center eatery called Grain.

Situated at 536 Hamilton Street in the old Federal Grill space, expectations are high for the duo to recreate the amazing vibe they’ve already created at Bayou, which has held the status as one of the Lehigh Valley’s hottest restaurants ever since opening.

While the decor mimics a gristmill (hence the name “grain”), the exterior of the space looks nearly identical to nearby Roar Social House, only a couple blocks down Hamilton Boulevard.

With nothing on the menu priced over $19, grain follows the Bayou format of smaller, sharable plates that have become the popular trend in dining. Their burger offering, simply named “burger” sounds promising for $12 and is described as having grilled onion, spicy pickles, baby arugula, smoked provolone, fried egg, and house bacon.
